A New Review

By stephanie - Posted on 09 November 2010

From Amie B. Kosberg, Literature teacher:

Stephanie Hubbard's Bluff Island Rescue Service is by far one of the best memoirs I have ever read. I was immediately transfixed and immersed and then surprised. The narrator's voice is genuine and in the moment.

For me, this young girl's power to somehow save herself is a testament to the free will every human being carries deep inside. Stephanie Hubbard's spirit and her art are admirable, inspirational and unforgettable.

Please read it!

Bluff Island Rescue Service is about Growing Up

Bluff Island Rescue Service is the true story about my relationship with my larger than life, brilliant and sometimes brutal father.

The story begins against the backdrop of sailing in the Thousand Islands and travels across oceans, continents and decades in this fast paced psychological adventure.
